Enigmatic, straight-talking 360 is taking his contentious live show to the masses...   Read moreEnigmatic, straight-talking 360 is taking his contentious live show to the masses come February and March 2012 on the back of his addictive new single ‘Boys Like You’. And not a moment too soon.

The ‘Boys Like You’ Tour picks up where the sold out national ‘Falling & Flying’ album tour left off, boasting twelve big shows to give fanx another tasty dose of the pumped up 360 party. Once again, it’s not just capital cities feeling the love, limited regional centres will also get a look into 360’s high-energy world. Six’s crew will join him in these live conquests and wingman Mat Cant will control the vibe as Six mans the mic with his trademark authority. And there is no telling which other guests might venture onto Six’s stage. All tickets are on sale Friday December 09. Look sharp and hook into them quick.

360’s Falling & Flying album landed at #4 in the ARIA Charts in September and has been entrenched in the Top 50 ever since. ‘Boys Like You’ is the newest addictive cut from the record, parading an overcharged dub vibe tied up by a unique hook courtesy of indie-darling Gossling. This track is destined to define summer.

360 has changed the game and you can expect the 360 army to mobilise once more and help Six deliver something monumental on his ‘Boys Like You’ Tour.

This is an 18+ event. Collapse

8pm, Hermanns Bar - Sydney Uni

With eleven years under their belts it seems about time Indiana's Murder By Death...   Read moreWith eleven years under their belts it seems about time Indiana's Murder By Death should land on our shores. And what better time? In the past two years, they've released the critically lauded "Good Morning, Magpie" on the venerable Vagrant Records, added Scott Brackett from Okkervil River to their lineup and had a song featured in a trailer for Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglorious Basterds'.

And all this from a band who would initially seem to have the odds against them. Straddling the delicate border of Punk and Country without indulging in the cliches of either genre and featuring an electric cello amongst more traditional rock instrumentation, it stands tribute to the genius of both Adam Turla's songwriting and their collective arrangements that it all comes off without a hitch. Their live reputation pegs them as both rabble-rousing and note-perfect, atmospheric as much as forceful and truly unmissable on their debut Australian excursion.

As though this wasn't enough, Perth's revered Eleventh He Reaches London will be accompanying Murder By Death on the entire tour. With their devastating 2009 opus "Hollow Be My Name" still strong in the collective conscience, the chance to see them live in any capacity is a rare one and we're ecstatic to have them bring their uniquely Australian post-hardcore stylings along on this monumental tour.

'If you've never witnessed a show from MBD, this is one not to miss; the band paints a lush dark picture of the whiskey-soaked underbelly of American back roads. If Johnny Cash had spent some time collaborating with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, the result may have been something like this.' Collapse

Masters of their craft, MACHINE HEAD have been redefining the genre for the better part of 15 years since their breakthrough classic ‘ Burn My Eyes’ blazed a path for all to follow.

In 2007 they created a masterpiece of modern metal, ‘The Blackening’ and delivered the knockout blow to the rest of the metal world. Critics and fans alike agreed that this was one of the purest, finest, most powerful expressions of modern heavy metal released.

Four years since the epic success of "The Blackening", the MACHINE HEAD studio album "Unto The Locust" was released in June this year. It is simply their most innovative and ambitious offering to date displaying punishing brutality with Metal Hammer declaring ‘the album is a storm of complex arrangements and riffs, compiled by musicians who have gained absolute command of their vision. It’s breathtaking work.”

MACHINE HEAD will be playing two headline sidewaves in Melbourne & Sydney with a brutal lineup featuring some of metals finest.

Adding to this bill of metal titans is Massachusetts finest, SHADOWS FALL. Combining honest integrity and violent brutality into one frightening package, they continue to push the boundaries with their mix of bone-splintering aggression and melodic nuance.

TIMES OF GRACE sees original Killswitch Engage front man Jesse leech team of up with current guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz. Their debut offering ‘The Hymn Of A Broken Man’ explores the depths of human misery with artful desperation, heavy aggression and gorgeous melody. TIMES OF GRACE ignore genre parameters and forge its own beat. With imagery that engages the mind and soul, the pair has created a bold entity for the ages.

CHIMAIRA are proof the old adage what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. This is nowhere more evident than their monstrous new album ‘The Age of Hell’ a record fraught with adversity and triumph. It showcases CHIMAIRA at their unrelenting and brutal best with Metal Underground declaring it a ‘A modern American metal classic’.

This is a Licensed/All Ages event. Collapse

The Australian Museum is known internationally in the fields of anthropology and natural history. It features a wide variety of collections in zoology, of vertebrates and invertebrates; as well as those in mineralogy, anthropology and paleontology. The museum also does other works like research, indigenous studies and community programs.
The former Secretary of State for the Colonies, Earl Bathurst, established the Australian Museum on March 30, 1827. The Colonial Museum or Sydney Museum was the museum’s original name but was later on changed when a meeting by a sub-committee decided for it to be named the Australian Museum in June 1836.
The Australian Museum used to be situated in a room at the offices of the colonial secretary and has been moved from one place to another during its first 30 years. In 1849 it finally moved to its present location in a building designed by the New South Wales colonial architect, James Barnet. In May 1857 the Australian Museum finally opened to the public. The museum was made of sandstone with a marble staircase facing Hyde Park.
The colonial government directly took charge of the Australian Museum until June 1836 during which a Committee of Superintendence of the Australian Museum and Botanical Garden was created. The first curator of the Australian Museum was George Bennett, a well-known naturalist. He was appointed in 1835 and was the first person to catalog the collection in the museum. In 1918, they renamed the position of curator to Director and Curator, which was later on changed to Director in 1921. The Australian Museum is presently directed by Frank Howarth. Collapse

It is the main structure which represents the country like the pyramids of Egypt or the Colosseum in Rome though it has been open on 1973.

The Sydney Opera House has a dramatic, majestic, and unforgettable view either seen on air or through a ferry. The Sydney Opera House has views of the harbour’s blue waters and the Sydney Harbour Bridge on its horizon.

This well-known icon was designed by Jorn Utzon, a popular Danish architect. The Sydney Opera House’s roof design is reminiscent of a ship at full sail. The NSW Government started an appeal fund in the late 1950s to support the Sydney Opera House construction so they had a contest for people to send designs. The design made by Utzon was chosen but during that era, engineering wasn’t as good as it is now. It was just beyond their capabilities that time that it took two years for Utzon to rework the design.

The problem on the unique design of the sails on the roof was finally solved in 1961. The project however went through cost blow-outs that the NSW Government almost stopped the construction. In 1966, Utzon resigned from the project due to some controversies, criticism and a change of government. The Opera House was then completed by Peter Hall, Lionel Todd, David Littlemore and Ted Farmer, an NSW Government Architect and was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1973.

In June 2007, the Sydney Opera House was included in the World Heritage List. UNESCO said, “Sydney Opera House is a great architectural work of the 20th century. It represents multiple strands of creativity, both in architectural form and structural design, a great urban sculpture carefully set in a remarkable waterscape and a world famous iconic building.” Collapse
