Our Market not only revitalizes the local businesses of Chinatown, but we have also created an awareness of our vibrant community so large among Sydney-siders that it is now attracting more and more visiting tourists to Chinatown from afar.
Our market implements an open plan outlook, which is visually pleasing and encourages an outdoor leisurely atmosphere that complements the Mall and local shops; a large majority of which are restaurants with alfresco dining area. Collapse

Under cover of our sail structure, we welcome you to sample the freshest regional produce and gourmet foods. Many of our stallholders have been with our market since we opened and offer the highest quality produce, including fruit and vegetables, eggs, cheese, breads, olives, nuts, chocolates, cakes and pastries.

Be greeted at our market entrance by a spectacular array of colour, courtesy of Chris May and his team at Mayfarm Flowers. With a reputation for exceptional quality, variety and pricing, they are justifiably proud of their stall and the number of regular customers they attract to the market each week.

Fruit and vegetables are in abundance including, hydroponic and organic. Meliora Farm specialises in seasonal oranges and avocadoes, with many other citrus varieties available throughout the various seasons. Helen Roche and her staff will happily offer samples of the juicy apple varieties grown on her Adelong farm, along with her seasonally available cherries and stone fruits.

With a huge range of cheeses to select from at the EQ Village Markets, be sure you stop to sample Mon Fromage local specialty cheeses or Formaggio Ocello’s selection of imported cheeses, sourced from all regions of Italy. David Borg, our resident goat’s cheese producer, is involved at all stages of creating his Willowbrae Chevre range.

If you have a sweet tooth, we have you covered. The Strudel Baron’s mouth watering strudels, cakes and tarts will keep you coming back for more, while Albert's delicious crepes and waffles at Le Creperie are also well worth making the trip for. Chocolate lovers can also indulge, selecting from Fare Gourmet's handmade brownies.

Bring the family for a relaxed lunch, selecting from international hot foods such as sweet and savoury crepes from Le Creperie, Chorizo rolls from Mojo Picon, Turkish Gozleme or delicious Ethiopian pancakes.

No market trip is complete without a great coffee and we have two of the best on offer at the EQ. Local company Toby’s Estate is fast gaining a reputation for their smooth blends, while Ivan and Linda at Café East Timor are always ready with a smile and great cup of their Fair Trade 3 Amigos blend. Built as a monument to the long reigning monarch, construction took place in dire times, as Sydney was in a severe recession. The elaborate Romanesque architecture was specially planned for the grand building so the Government could employ many out-of-work craftsmen - stonemasons, plasterers, and stained window artists - in a worthwhile project. Designed as a shopping centre, it was later used for a variety of other purposes until its restoration and return to its original use in the late twentieth century.
The QVB fills an entire city block bound by George, Market, York and Druitt Streets. The dominant feature is the mighty centre dome, consisting of an inner glass dome and an exterior copper- sheathed dome. Glorious stained glass windows and splendid architecture endure throughout the building and an original 19th century staircase sits alongside the dome. Every detail has been faithfully restored, including arches, pillars, balustrades and the intricate tiled floors thus maintaining the integrity of the building. Collapse

MaXXX Black is the finest adult store in Australia.
We take great pride in our products, customer service and staff.
MaXXX Black was created from the belief that adult shopping in Australia deserved to be completely reinvented. Sydney was desperate for an empowering female-friendly and couple-friendly space in which to shop for adult products, learn more about sex and sexuality, and find only the highest quality toys, books, costumes and more.
Shopping for adult products is always fun at MaXXX Black. The environment is bright, friendly and clean, the kind of space you’d expect in any high-end retail store - rather than a traditional adult shop. Our highly-trained staff are virtual walking encyclopedias of sex toys and they make asking questions so much easier. We always want you to find the perfect item, whether it’s for you, a friend, or a loved-one. A predominantly female team makes your shopping all the more comfortable.
We believe everyone should have equal access to the absolute best pleasure products from around the globe so we thoroughly research the very best items – in quality, looks and price. This means our toys are safe, sexy and healthy, with almost every item in store now being phthalate-free (no nasty chemicals). Our aim is to stock products that are fun and sensual to use and made by the world’s most trusted brands. Collapse
