I went to Burlesque in December and was not the biggest fan.... I went with a group again last week for a hens and it was GREAT. The MC W as hilariousness, the performers were tasteful, fun and involving, The DJ played great music and we were dancing to close. There was a little wait ion the bar , but its Friday night and that's usual.... Burlesque is not something I would see every week, however... DON'T BOTHER. Even though you book, no reserved seating. You're not advised of first in best dress scenario at all. Entry took 15 mins. Barstaff are nice but take forever to make a cocktail. Ordered tapas but they lost my order after I'd checked on it twice. 40 mins after ordering I had to order again. Waitress's excuse was because of multiple orders to the table. We didn't even order the same things. I haven't been to burlesque so can't compare to others but the dancers/performers came out for 5-10 mins every 30 - 45 mins. No stage. Just walk around the rectangular bar. You see a total of 10 mins of performance the entire night cause of the layout of the bar. Worst place to have a performance type show ever! Tapas was generally average to poor quality & heavily over priced (was a chef for 5 & in hospitality for 10 years so trust me). Overall low customer satisfaction. Basically just a normal surry bar with crappy food & ridiculous entry fee. Lucky it was a groupon cause if i paid the retail price I would've complained to management prefusely. Collapse

Hi all,
Please arrive early @ DOME Bar and lounge ,should you wish to have seating on a Friday night. Great advice.
This could be very good advice for any bar in Sydney on a Friday or Saturday evening as bars are designed to have seating and standing areas.
Alternatively you could attend a bar which has no people or atmosphere

In regards to a strip show, Burlesque is risque, suggestive, revealing however at all times tasteful, beautiful and cultured.
I understand one cannot please all customers all of the time. The case in point is the anonymous reviewer who spent $19 on a glass of French Champagne (Mumm which is sold for $20) was given 2 tapas dishes (also about $20 +) received FREE entry to the venue, then entered the VIP area, (which is clearly marked as such with reserved names on each seat) and was surprised when they were evicted from such an area after an argument. Yes this customer and company were asked to leave the venue, we do not have time for opportunists, and hence they attempt to defame on this site.
We love our customers!
The only way to know for sure is to come and see for yourself, every Friday Night @ DOME Bar & lounge Collapse

It was a nice show there last Friday. Everything is good, but try to come earlier or book seats beforehand, because you can finish sitting on the edge of a sofa and holding all of your tapas on your knees =)

Dome bar is pretty cool place with nice and warm atmosphere. They have a Bourlesk shows with sexy ledies in 1920 style. Cocktails and wine are reasonably priced. And kitchen is pretty yummy.
