The shallow areas of Fairlight have nice fish too. Collapse

Fairlight Beach is one of the most amazing places for snorkelling and, I guess, diving. Its small size gives you a sense of privacy and I’ve never seen it overcrowded, which is a nice thing too. Even though it is quite rocky under water and special shoes would be great to keep your feet safe, it is still a lovely place to come with kids. Right there is a beautiful rock pool with a special area for kids. My kids enjoyed being there last time while my husband and I took turns to do some snorkelling. I would definitely recommend to come there to snorkel. The underwater life is amazing there, you ‘ll see lots of colourful fish. We were lucky to see an octopus and a few squids as well. It is a beautiful place and not far from beautiful Manly walks, cafes and restaurants, and ice-cream for kids :) Collapse

This place was recommended to us by our friend friend who is an experienced diver/snorkeler. We come there in the late morning and could not stop till evening! It was just wonderful: lots of fish, octopuses and interesting underwater landscape! I even did not think that you can find this kind of magic place in the middle of the Sydney! We were there with our friends which made thing even more... Read moreThis place was recommended to us by our friend friend who is an experienced diver/snorkeler. I even did not think that you can find this kind of magic place in the middle of the Sydney! We were there with our friends which made thing even more fun! As there is a rock pool - it is sort of kid friendly - some of our friends come with kids and toddlers - so everyone found something for him/her self. In the closest streets parking is limited to 2 hrs, but if you go inland for five mins - there are no restriction parking. Highly recommended snorkeling beach! Collapse
