The Ararat RSL Sub Branch has indeed had a long involvement with the people of Ararat and the surrounding District. The Sub Branch was first formed after the First World War. The Ararat RSL Sub Branch received its first charter from the Returned Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen’s Imperial League of Australia (Victorian Branch) on the 6th April 1919. In those early days the Sub Branch held its regular monthly meetings at the Ararat Mechanics Institute in Barkly Street Ararat.
Ararat RSL can give you a dining experience at the Red Poppy Bar and Bistro. The venue has a new and exciting menu for you to try as well as our ever popular Chef Specials. Don’t forget our Lunch time Specials Board; add a self serve vegetable and salad bar and this will feed the hungriest of appetites.
After your Main course why not try out our all new and extensive dessert range which has something for all tastes? We also have a new Wine, Beer, Soft drink and Coffee list to go with our new food menu, add to that the relaxing surrounds and our friendly staff and you have the full dining experience.
