The restaurant is situated in what is now known as Jackson's Landing.
It was also for many years home to Colonial Sugar Refinery which dominated the peninsula.
In fact our connection with the area goes back to the fifties when my father started work with CSR. He remained with them until his retirement in the eighties.
The building itself is heritage listed predominately because of its facade which was typical of the type of cottages in the area.
However in later years the property was let go and fell into a state of disrepair.
We fell in love with the building the moment we saw it and commenced a complete refurbishment soon thereafter.
We engaged well known french chef Mathieu Astier who worked for many years under the auspices of "Chef of the Century" Joel Robuchon in the three Michelin Star restaurant "Robuchon" in Monaco. Mathieu was awarded a star at his previous restaurant in Brisbane.
