Xavier and Ludovic, the two Frenchmen behind Bistro Papillon, have been dreaming about their own little restaurant since they first met in Bath, England more than 10 years ago. After Ludovic moved to Australia in 2004, and Xavier stayed in England, unfortunately their plans were put on hold... 4 years later Xavier makes his move to settle in Australia, and the two again begin to plan their endeavour to own their little restaurant.
Xavier has been going through all possible hierarchies in Front of House one can imagine. Starting out as a waiter in France, making his way to England as Food & Beverage Manager and finally ending up in Sydney opening his own French bistro, is only the next logical step. With his undeniable charm and connection to people, it is his pleasure to make your every visit at Bistro Papillon an unforgettable experience.
Ludovic, the man in the kitchen will treat your tastebuds to exquisit flavours and show you that good food doesn't have to be complicated. Through his years of experience as a chef in France, England and Australia, taking in different cultures and their food, Ludovic has developed a set of skills that make Bistro Papillon's menu such a great pleasure to try and experience.
Here at Bistro Papillon we are all about having a great time with delicious food and wines. We are more than happy to take group bookings for functions and parties. You can choose to rent out our little bistro for an intimate night or book a big table in the buzzling atmosphere. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your wishes.
