For twenty one years cafe DOV has been and is still, one of Sydney's favourite cafes. Today, weâre as full of life as ever.
We source lots of our fresh, seasonal produce from local Sydney region farms and growers, preferably sustainable and organic produce, with a promise to find more. Some of our herbs and edible things are even grown here in the DOV Garden.
We are famous for our breakfast, having been voted as a finalist for Best Breakfast in the 2010 and 2011 Savour Australia Awards. Itâs not all about breakfast though, with creative menus for lunch and dinner that offer nearly every dish as a small or big plate â perfect for sharing. Or not!
Weâre licenced too, with a value packed wine list offering an eclectic selection of handcrafted wines, many âlocalâ from New South Wales. âA tight, wonderfully assorted list of mouth-watering winesâ says Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine (Aug 2011).
And whilst weâve been described as âa little bit Parisian cafe, a little bit New York bistro, a little bit Sydney restaurantâ, we deliver all that with small town warmth. We're a friendly village eatery.
Cafe DOV is available for exclusive/private hire, or we can come to you, offering simple yet delicious catering through to design and delivery of a complete concept for your event, within a budget that suits your needs.
Our professional team has broad ranging experience in event styling, menu planning and service management to assure you of an exceptional experience - a memorable celebration that reflects your personal style.
DOV Garden â the new outdoor seating area and kitchen garden at cafe DOV. Accessed off Orwell Street, the garden is open during the day for breakfast and for lunch, and may also be reserved in the early evenings for private events.
The garden enjoys morning sunshine, continuing through until the mid afternoon. At night, you are under the stars, and coloured party lights of course.
With a variety of herbs, edible flowers, tomatoes and citrus growing in recycled tubs and barrels, and tables and planting racks built from recycled pallets, the garden is a small urban oasis.
The garden can accomodate approximately 16 people seated, or a maximum of 50 people standing.
