Mr Wilkinson about is a very fine wine bar in Brunswick East, named after Thomas Wilkinson who founded the Victorian suburb of Brunswick 150 or so years ago. If this bar is modelled at all on Thomas W then he must've been quite a dapper and classy dude. The interior is dark wood and muted greys, a sophisticated palate in keeping with the fine array of wines, beers and spirits behind the bar.
Located close to restaurants on Lygon Street, Mr Wilkinson offers heaps of seating either at the bar, on a comfy couch or the traditional table-chair combo. There's a great selection of beers, wine and cocktails. You will also find loads of books and magazines lying here and there for your perusal if need be.
It is the perfect place to grab a drink and chill on your own or meet up with mates after a day's work.
