Trenerry Reserve is perched high on the southern headland of Coogee Bay directly to the south of Grant Reserve. From the open grassed area of the reserve there are spectacular views to the north over Coogee Beach and Dunningham Reserve, withbreathtaking scenes to the south over rocky coastal cliffs and platforms.
Trenerry Reserve includes a section of the Eastern Beaches Coastal Walk and links Grant Reserve to a boardwalk that traverses a peat bog at the southern end of the reserve. The boardwalk keeps walkers off the sensitive and endangered plant species located on the cliff tops.
The reserve is less developed than the open space areas to the south and offers a totally passive recreational experience. The large grassed area is ideal for picnics and exercising and has a designated off-lead area as an approved dog exercise park.
