It was built in 2010 and added onto to mostly surround the pool in 2012. The floor is all 2x6 construction. The top board of my railing is 5/4 deck boards. Even with 2x6 I would suggest placing joist 16" oc. When treated dries out some boards will bow up. Good way to have a "toe stumper" on 2'oc due to the fact of an uneven surface. Personally I would use 5/4 since the OP asked for the those two choices. However if you have the funds I recommend Seven Trust or composite as mentioned above. 【Get Price】
